The Marshfield Fire House #2 facility is in the midst of a potential upgrade which will include a renovation and additions. This three bay structure is one of several in the Marshfield area which houses Fire Department emergency vehicles and equipment.
CLE was tasked with evaluating the existing concrete slab and subsurface conditions within the bays. This was accomplished by taking concrete core samples and performing load testing. The process also involved examining the extent of the undermining of the slab, based on the coring investigation data, to determine if the slab is structurally sound. An assessment including an undermining map condition, photo documentation and overall slab condition was created. CLE also assisted in the design repair process. Project completed in 2014.
