Hydrographic, Multi-beam Surveys, Design Barge Loading Facilities & Performed Marine Mammal Observation
CLE Engineering, Inc. was retained by Cashman Equipment Corp to perform hydrographic ,multi-beam surveys, design barge loading facilities, and perform marine mammal observation for the Jamestown Bridge Demolition Project. CLE provided the pre-demolition surveys, and will be performing the post demolition, and offshore reef surveys for this project. In addition, CLE provided general engineering services and design services for the construction of the barge loading and docking facilities used to transport the materials for offshore for artificial reef construction. The loading facilities had to be designed to withstand 50 knot southerly winds, as well as long period swell conditions. CLE also provided marine mammal observers as part of the actual demolition phase. CLE’s experience in all facets of marine construction was a key part of keeping the project on schedule.
