CLE Engineering performed an existing condition hydrographic survey for the proposed power station outfall. The existing outfall consists of a 42” pipe terminating at the base of the seawall along the edge of the river. The owners propose to extend the outfall into deeper water and improve circulation for the heated discharge water. CLE provided trained professional hydrographers to perform the hydrographic surveys and probings of the river bottom to define the dense sediment layer. CLE’s expertise in hydrographic surveys and waterfront engineering allowed our staff to understand the project and obtain the necessary information for the owners to evaluate the existing site conditions, identify design constraints and prepare preliminary cost estimates for the proposed outfall.
