CLE Engineering provided the Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA) with turn key surveying, permitting, engineering, and project management services on the dredging and improvements for the Harbor Bay Facility in Alameda, California. Our team was charged with moving the project forward to construction in a 9 month period which included permit application/agency consultation, and coordination along with engineering and project management support services. CLE provided contract documents to WETA to solicit competitive bids from qualified contractors. Our team assisted WETA during the bidding, conducted a pre-dredge survey, performed a side-scan sonar survey, post-dredge hydrographic and eelgrass surveys. CLE was the construction coordinator and the point of contact for all communications and interactions with the Contractor. CLE managed all field inspection activities, monitor contractor’s performance and enforce all requirements of applicable codes, specifications and contract drawings. We have the proven experience for final inspection services and project closeout activities, including preparation of the final construction project report and notice of completion forms. CLE’s proven ability to successfully provide professional engineering and design services is best demonstrated with success with the WETA project.
