Lying in the heart of Seattle, The 2900 on First Ave property is comprised of three towers, housing 135 residential rental units, ground floor retail, amenities center and parking garage. Water intrusion was prevalent throughout the building, effecting tenants and presenting an unsightly exterior.
CLE engineering was engaged to conduct destructive investigation and testing of the structures to determine the extent of water intrusion, points of entry, and the extent of damage done to the building envelope and wood frame structural systems. Informed by the results of this investigation, CLE provided complete project development services including the development of construction drawings, specifications, and permitting by successfully managing structural and building envelope sub-consultants and partnering with architectural design professionals.
Additionally CLE provided technical support during construction, coordinating window and door assembly testing, oversight of structural repairs, and management of building envelope and structural technical disciplines. Renovations completed in the summer of 2013, fulfilling the owner’s vision of an enduring, low maintenance exterior for a premier Seattle property.
